Make A Difference Day 2019

On Saturday, October 26, 2019, students from Chico State and Butte College along with hundreds of other community members came together for Make a Difference Day – Butte County (MDDBC). Its purpose: to bring people together from all over as they volunteer to complete various service projects around the community. Make a Difference Day is a national event celebrated annually on the fourth Saturday of October since 1992, emphasizing community service and volunteerism. CAVE took part in bringing our local community and other organizations together to participate in this national movement.

A Fond Farewell to Ann Schwab

Compassion, dedication, and community involvement are just a few ways to define a well-rounded person. In CAVE our staff lead by example and conquer any given task with ease and poise. Ann Schwab is no exception to this rule and has proven her capabilities over the past 20 years. Ann is approachable and loving with a charismatic charm that allowed her to accomplish many historical milestones while working with CAVE.

Welcoming Our New Director

As students and faculty members are settling into school, CAVE has had a great kick off to the semester! Our leadership team is excited and prepared to tackle what this semester has in store with our new director Keith Crawford.

Pasta on the Plaza

On Thursday, September 19th the Boys and Girls Club of Chico held Pasta on the Plaza, a fundraiser dinner to support local youths in Chico. At the Chico Rotary Plaza our CAVE volunteers helped facilitate engaging activities, served food to guests and maintained a clean facility. The Boys and Girls Club collaborated with numerous local companies and businesses to sponsor their raffle that featured many prizes ranging from various gift baskets, gift cards, to even a new washing machine! As hungry people began to arrive, our volunteers were posted at their station excited and prepared to serve the community members.
