Adventure Outings Program Director: Jenna Walker
Jenna has been working in the outdoor recreation field for the past 20 years and has served as Adventure Outings Program Director since 2012. She holds a B.S. in Interdisciplinary Studies and an M.S. in Recreation Administration and maintains certifications with the American Canoe Association, NOLS Wilderness Medicine, Professional Climbing Instructors’ Association, and American Institute for Avalanche Research and Education. Her interests include mountain biking, whitewater paddling, skiing, trail maintenance, and exploration near and far.
Adventure Outings Program Coordinator: Scott Yoder
Scott was born and raised on the Front Range of Colorado. He graduated from Colorado State University in Fort Collins. Scott was introduced to whitewater rafting at a young age and began guiding rock climbing, rafting and backpacking trips during summer break in college. He quickly developed an interest in whitewater kayaking and has been kayaking and rafting for 20 years in both California and Colorado. Scott has a passion for getting as many people into the outdoors as possible. For the last 10 years Scott has worked with foster and adoptive youth, creating opportunities for young people from the community to be able to access outdoor experiences. He comes to AO with a passion for elevating individuals, the river, mountain biking, and fly fishing.
Adventure Outings Operations Assistant Coordinator: Riley Cox
A Chico local, Riley has a B.A. in Outdoor Education from Chico State and is an alumnus of the Adventure Outings program and NOLS. He spent the last three summers in Yosemite National Park as a backpacking instructor for both youth and adults. In his free time, he is often exploring new areas, rock climbing, and daydreaming of future expeditions.
