How far in advance should I place my order?
While we will do everything we can to accommodate last minute orders, we appreciate a minimum of 7 days in advance of your event to place your catering order so that we can properly staff.
How late can I cancel my order without paying a penalty?
If the catering booking is canceled the day prior or the day of the event, the customer will be responsible for all catering charges as shown on the Catering Confirmation.
If the catering booking is canceled more than 10 days prior to the event, no catering charges will be incurred by the customer and any deposit paid will be refunded (less processing fee if applicable)
Any specialty items that are ordered for your event will incur a charge with cancellation regardless of the date of cancellation.
Are linens included with my order?
AS Catering provides linens for the food and beverage tables at no additional cost. All other linens including for guest tables, check-in tables, panel tables etc. are not automatically provided but can be upon request at a nominal charge.
Specialty linens and table skirts are also available upon request for a nominal charge.

Do I have to be present when my catering order is delivered?
AS Catering does not have access to buildings and rooms outside of the BMU, with the one exception of Room 100A in Colusa Hall. If you are not able to be present during the pre-arranged drop off and set up time, please have the room unlocked for our staff to set up for your event.
If your catering order is in a closed room and you believe that it will be safe from hungry and thirsty humans, AS Catering is happy to set up an unattended room. However, if your catering order will be set up in an open area such as a lobby or outdoor location, AS Catering is not responsible to monitor the food and beverages unless pre-arranged with our managers. We are happy to stay with your order until you arrive for a nominal staffing fee. Please ask for more details.
Why is there a service charge outside the BMU?
Yes. AS Catering is based in the BMU and delivery/set up charges apply when catering services are outside of the building.
Will you set up tables and chairs?
AS Catering does not set up tables and chairs outside of the BMU. All reservations on-campus outside the BMU are reserved through Facilities Reservations & Event Services. Please arrange to have the tables for food and beverages set up for our staff.
If I need something during my event, how do I contact AS Catering?
Your catering staff will leave a red business card on your buffet table with a direct number to a catering and conference services employee who will then relay your needs to the appropriate catering staff.
