Cats in the Community

Chico State students will honor the legacy of César Chávez with the annual community service event ‘Cats in the Community on Monday, April 1st. Students are encouraged to sign up for this great opportunity to give back to the Chico community during this national day of service.

During ’Cats in the Community, students, faculty, staff and community members will travel to various local locations to volunteer and provide services. Check in is at 9 a.m. in Sutter Courtyard. Around 2 p.m., volunteers are invited back to Sutter Courtyard for a complimentary lunch and a prize drawing, music and games.

Other events include a César Chávez art gallery March 27 at 1 p.m. in the CCLC (Merriam Library Room 172) and a screening of the movie “César Chávez” March 28 at 8 p.m. in Sutter Courtyard. For more information about these activities and the legacy of César Chávez, visit
