Associated Students Businesses Committee
The Associated Students Businesses Committee (ASBC) is chaired by the AS Vice President of Business and Finance. This committee is responsible for setting policies and procedures needed for the AS businesses; providing a liaison between management and the student body; as well as and reviewing, monitoring, and approving short and long term strategy and the one-year operating plan. Bell Memorial Union Committee
The Bell Memorial Union Committee (BMUC) is chaired by the AS Vice President of Facilities and Services. This committee is responsible for establishing procedures and policies for the use of the BMU and all areas funded by the Student Union, including the WREC. This committee also plans for any future construction or lease of facilities related to the BMU. Board of Directors
The Board of Directors (BOD) is the voice and ultimate decision-makers of the Associated Students. BOD is chaired by the AS President and comprised of six student representatives, the Vice President of Student Affairs, the Vice President of Business and Finance, one faculty representative, and several non-voting AS advisors. The Board is responsible for approving, reviewing, and allocating budgets; approving or rejecting bills, resolutions, and proposals submitted to the AS; and implementing functions established by the Restated Bylaws of the AS of CSUC. Government Affairs Committee
The Government Affairs Committee (GAC) is chaired by the Executive Vice President. This committee is responsible for approving, allocating and reviewing the Activity Fee budget, establishing AS Elections, establishing regulations governing social and educational jurisdiction of the AS, approving the annual GAC Strategic Plan, and being a voice for all students on campus. Diversity Affairs Council
The Diversity Affairs Council is a funding council chaired by the AS Commissioner of Diversity Affairs. This council acts as the representative body of the diverse and multicultural community, advocating for equitable and inclusive policies and procedures throughout the University and statewide. DAC is open for all students to come and voice any questions, comments or concerns for the diverse opportunities, events and community on our campus. Student Academic Senate
The Student Academic Senate (SAS) represents the voice of the student body on academic affairs. SAS is chaired by the AS Director of University Affairs and comprised of seven elected student senators, one for each of the seven colleges within the University. Additionally, several students at large as well as faculty and staff advisors are invited to serve as voting or non-voting members. The Senate is responsible for representing the student voice on issues related to the curricular experience and creates a true link between the Associated Students and Colleges within the University. Senators also serve on campus-wide committees and act as a liaison between students and college administrators to increase communication, interaction, and cooperation between administration, faculty, and the Associated Students.
