College of Behavioral and Social Science, Senator
Hello Wildcats! My name is Ella Snyder, and I am very excited to serve as your 2019-2020 Senator for the College of Behavioral and Social Sciences (BSS). My three majors in BSS College are Political Science (Legal Studies), Psychology, and Criminal Justice; I am also pursuing my Paralegal Certificate. With this immense amount of undergraduate education, I plan to attend Law School after I graduate, and eventually practice as an attorney in the future. I am truly passionate about academia, while I focus a large portion of my time on supporting civic engagement and leadership development. My involvement on campus has included participation in the Wildcat Leadership Institute (WLI), councils and committees, student clubs and organizations, and an internship at the Community Legal Information Center (CLIC).
Our campus has so many resources, organizations, and programs where students have the opportunity to get involved and further develop, or learn new skills. I have always believed the purpose of life is to contribute to our world doing what you love. Not only is an academic education enough in order to reach one’s full potential pursuing a career or passion, but the skills learned from involvement in civic engagement and leadership opportunities are also a major contributor to the full development of a well rounded student. This is why I encourage every student to look into any of the great opportunities our campus has to offer, and to get involved.
My ultimate goal is to enhance the University learning experience by assisting students in discovering involvement relating to their career goal or interest. I am extremely passionate about advocating for students by being their voice or resource for anything I can help with. Please feel free to reach out, or schedule a meeting with me at any time. I look forward to meeting with you! If you have any questions, or simply would like to talk, stop by the BMU in room 220 or email me at firstname.lastname@example.org.
