CAVE’s 50th Anniversary Celebration
CAVE’s 50th Anniversary Celebration was one for the books! Over 200 CAVE alumni ranging from the early years of CAVE to graduates from just a few years ago were in attendance. Our 50th Anniversary Reunion Dinner on October 16, 2016 was spectacular, with presentations from distinguished guests Congressman Doug LaMalfa and University President Gayle Hutchinson.
The program was captured by Chico State’s Instructional Media Center and can be viewed here. Videos were interspersed throughout the program to tell CAVE’s story. Our founder, Time Tregarthen, sent greetings from Southern California, memories and stories of CAVE over the last 50 years along with meaningful quotes were told by alumni. We learned how CAVE’s logo and motto were developed, how the culture of CAVE grew, and the impact CAVE had on our alumni. We heard from fellow CAVE alumni Scott Dinits and Taylor Herren, and Alan Harry honored our friend Rick Rees. We also announced the creation of CAVE’s Endowment, which will enable us to make a difference for decades to come. For more information about CAVE’s endowment, click here.
