CAVE Launches Endowment Drive
To commemorate our 50th anniversary, CAVE is creating an endowment. With a goal of establishing a $25,000 fund, we kicked off the endowment at our anniversary celebration in October. Speaking to alumni about the importance of giving back, Deanna Berg (BA, Liberal Studies, ’95) announced she, along with her mother, Rhonda Berg, have each pledged each to the endowment for the next five years.
Our students have great stories of how they have made a positive impact on the community. The people and organizations CAVE serves value our efforts as well. What will the next 50 years bring for CAVE? Surely, CAVE volunteers will be impacted by their experiences while serving others in our community. An endowment will allow us to do even more good in our local communities and enhance our students’ experience. An endowment gift is a permanent assurance for CAVE to remain on the cutting edge of providing meaningful volunteer opportunities, developing student leaders, and serving a broad base of community needs.
Although CAVE receives generous support from the Associated Students and the University, we often have to turn away volunteers and programs because we exceed our valuable resources. That’s why—and in celebration of our 50th anniversary—CAVE is creating an endowment, so we can do even more good in our local communities and enhance our students’ experiences. Our endowment will allow us to offer better programming with more supplies, improved training, more meaningful volunteer recognition and reflection, and closer community partner relationships.
You can help. This is your chance to show your appreciation for CAVE and help us increase the quality and quantity of volunteer and leadership opportunities for our students. To make your contribution, visit www.csuchico.edu/givetoCAVE.
