College of Business Lecturer and former CEO for Northern California Adaptive Living Center
Linda Clark-Borre moved to Chico from the Chicago, Illinois area in 2010 and has been part of the CSU-Chico Faculty at the College of Business ever since. She teaches courses in Project Management, Managing for Sustainability, and Global Corporate Social Responsibility.
Her professional experiences include serving as CEO of Northern California Adaptive Living Center, Inc., based in Chico, for 6 years. Prior to that, Linda held positions in national account management and business development at Hoffman-LaRoche (Genentech) and Novartis. Linda received her Master’s Degree from the University of Chicago’s Graham School for Liberal and Professional Studies, Chicago, Illinois.
Talent Acquisition Manager for Enterprise Holdings
Donovan was born and raised in San Francisco, California by his mother. After graduating from Mcateer High School, he attended college at San Francisco State University. During that time, he was a Resident Advisor in student housing and was also a founding father for the Pi Kappa Phi Fraternity Eta Omicron chapter. He received a degree in Social Science with a concentration in Criminal Justice. Donovan then proceeded into Retail Management for the next 7 years and recruiting for another 2 ½ years afterwards.
Donovan found his calling with Enterprise Rent-a-Car. Since joining the company in January of 2003, he has received six promotions! “I enjoy my job very much,” says Donovan. “I feel the key to being successful in life is finding what your passion is and never giving up on that. We all have the capability of learning whatever we want but very few of us have a passion for going to work every day and truly enjoying what you do. Believe me, this will mean a great deal to you on your journey of figuring out what you want to achieve in life.”
Regional Claims Manager for Federated Insurance
Joseph (Joe) is currently the Regional Claims Manager at Federated Mutual Insurance Company. He has been with Federated for 35 years in which 27 of those years are in Management where recruiting, training and mentoring have been his number one priority. Joe is married to Cyndi and they have 2 children Greg and Natalie -both are Chico State alumni. Joe is also actively involved in his local community having coached 25 different teams, he is League President for the Youth Soccer Club and is also board member for the Girls Softball league. Joe received his Bachelor’s degree from Indiana University in Business Administration, Finance.
Associate Quality Assurance Engineer for Workday
Nicole Lung graduated from CSU, Chico in the spring of 2015 with a major in Business Administration with an emphasis in Human Resource Management. She was recruited at the Business Career Fair by Workday and currently works as a Senior Associate Quality Assurance Engineer. Nicole states that “It was my 4 years at Chico that prepared me for the real world and as cheesy as it sounds, has shaped me to be the person I am today.” Nicole was continually involved in student leadership during her time as a student at Chico State. She started out with the Freshman Leadership Opportunity (FLO) and found every opportunity to continue her leadership growth and potential. In her sophomore year, she was involved in the piloting of the Wildcat Leadership Institute (WLI) program. In her junior year, she worked as a Student Organization and Leadership Organization Paraprofessional in Student Life and Leadership and helped over 100 student organizations on campus. During her senior year, she was elected as the Vice President of Business and Finance for the Associated Students and also was among the first to receive the Certificate of Leadership Excellence through the WLI Mastery program.
Her favorite quote is “Desire is the starting point of all achievement” because she believes it is the passion and drive that an individual has that will guide him/her to achieve any obstacle and challenge. Nicole finally states that “It all begins with a single step and the experiences you have is what will help you after college. I am so proud to be a Wildcat and encourage everyone to push yourself out of your comfort zone!”
Program Coordinator for Student Life and Leadership/Fraternity and Sorority Affairs
Malcolm J. McLemore is the Coordinator for Fraternity and Sorority Affairs at CSU, Chico. He coordinates a team that oversees approximately 1,600 undergraduate students. Malcolm is a Chico Alum who graduated with a B.S. in Recreation Administration before heading to the University of Rochester (NY) to receive a M.S. in Educational Leadership. He came back to Chico in 2011 as a coordinator at the Cross-Cultural Leadership Center before landing in Greek life. He currently is working on his doctorate at UC, Davis and coordinating the Graduation of Achieving Leaders (GOAL) Initiative that focuses on closing the achievement gap between URM and non URM students.
Director of the Chico State Career Center
Megan Odom current works as the Director of the Chico State Career Center. She has worked in the Career Center on campus for the past 14 years in several different positions. Before coming to Chico State, Megan worked as a Recruiter/Assistant Manager for Target Stores. Megan holds a degree in Business Communications from UC Davis and an MBA from Chico State.
Director of the Office of Diversity and Inclusion
Travon (Tray) Robinson was born in Los Angeles, but raised in Compton, California. He moved to Chico in the fall of 1989 and received his undergraduate degree in Liberal Studies/Bilingual in the fall of 1995 and his MA in Interdisciplinary Studies in the spring of 2010. He has had the wonderful pleasure of working as a Resident Director for University Housing and Food Service, EOP Adviser for the Educational Support Program, Admissions Counselor for the Admissions Office and he currently serves as the Director of University Diversity Programs and Inclusion, as well as Lecturer for the Department of Multicultural and Gender Studies.
His passion is working with students. He would like to give them the positive experience and support that was given to him when he was a student. Music is his other passion. He enjoys listening to it, playing it, and writing it. He plays saxophone and is currently learning how to play guitar. His hobbies include reading, writing poems, watching movies, playing sports, cycling, worshiping the lord, and enjoying the company of his partner, family and friends.
Senior Vice President and Chief Learning Officer for Sedgwick
David is currently Senior Vice President, Chief Learning Officer of Sedgwick Claims Management Services (Sedgwick). His responsibilities as SVP, Chief Learning Officer are to effectively and efficiently support and align the learning objectives with the overall business objectives of Sedgwick through instructional design, training and colleague development that create value to the organization, positively affect the bottom line and that are meaningful and measurable. David is responsible for all aspects of colleague orientation, learning, training and organizational development as well as all aspects of Sedgwick University and oversees a staff of 21 and a budget of approximately $5 million.
David attended California State University, Chico, where he received a B.S. in Business Administration/International Business and a B.A. in French. David also received his Master of Science in Organizational Leadership through Norwich University in Vermont. He received his Associate in Risk Management (ARM) designation from the Insurance Institute of America and his Certified Risk Manager (CRM) designation from The National Alliance for Insurance Education and Research. In addition, he is qualified to administer the Myers-Briggs (MBTI) instrument. David is a member of the Society of Insurance Trainers and Educators (SITE). David also has served for seven years on the Board of Directors of the Insurance Educational Association (IEA).
Director of Talent Acquisition for Build.com
Anna White is originally from the San Mateo, Bay Area and moved to Chico to go to college. She graduated with a Bachelor of Arts option in painting and emphasis in education at California State University, Chico. After spreading her wings in various endeavors she settled into working in the fast, dynamic and ever changing landscape of recruiting at Build.com for 7 years now. Anna brings in the top talent to Build.com and manages an energetic and driven group of recruiters as the Director of Talent Acquisition. She is passionate about recruiting for all levels, c-level, software developers, analysts, data specialist, merchandizers, sales rep, marketers, and much more. In her free time Anna enjoys spending time with her family in Lake Tahoe either in the snow or at the beach, creating inventive design and artwork pieces, and most of all being a mom.
