The Chico State Student Hall of Fame stands as the pinnacle of honor for exceptional student leaders at the University. Each year, Chico State honors graduating student leaders who exemplify integrity and excellence through their leadership, community involvement, participation in campus life, and academic achievement. Among this year’s inductees are five remarkable individuals who have not only made a significant impact through their involvement in the Associated Students (AS) but who have also enriched the wider campus community through mentorship, advocacy, and cultural engagement.

Brooklyn Briggs is graduating with a Master of Arts in Social Science, with an Option in College Student Equity & Success. Since her first semester at Chico State in 2019, she has been a dedicated member of Community Action Volunteers in Education (CAVE), where she has served as a Volunteer Coordinator, Program Manager, and Student Program Director. Brooklyn reflects that the most meaningful part of her involvement has been meeting other students and witnessing their development as leaders. In addition to leadership development, Brooklyn has built lasting friendships and deepened her ties with the local Chico community.

As she prepares to complete her comprehensive exam next semester, she looks ahead to a career in higher education, nonprofit, or social services—focused on program coordination and community outreach. Katey VonMosch, CAVE Program Director, said, “Brooklyn is one of those remarkable students who only comes around once in a great while—the kind who makes you wish you had more time with them, and who leaves you wondering how you’ll manage without them once they graduate. I cannot wait to see the impact she will continue to make in the world.”

His service extended to AS, where he worked as a Residential Dining Student Assistant at Éstom Jámani Dining Center and served as the Director of Academic Affairs in AS Government Affairs, contributing to the recent Reimagining Chico State Academic Affairs Initiative. "Throughout his time in Government Affairs as Director of Academic Affairs, Dev has consistently gone above and beyond, inspiring his peers and mentors alike, and leaving a lasting impact on Chico State," said Eliza Miller, AS Government Affairs Coordinator.

Whether planning excursions for international students or advocating for students, Dev’s focus has always been on creating a sense of belonging. After graduation, he plans to attend graduate school for Pharmaceutical Sciences, with long-term aspirations to launch his own pharmaceutical company.

Humberto Partida is graduating with a Master of Arts in Political Science. He has exemplified what it means to serve others through a wide range of campus and community roles. His involvement has spanned organizations like Sueños de Las Estrellas Baile Folklorico, Model United Nations, Hungry Wildcat Food Pantry, International Education and Global Engagement, and the Newman Catholic Center.

The most meaningful part of his involvement was building relationships with students from diverse backgrounds and striving to leave the campus better than he found it. “Humberto Partida Jr. leads with humility, serves with heart, and inspires with action. He is a role model not just among students, but for all of us who work with him to build a more inclusive and empowered campus," said Kendra Wright, Director of Government Affairs.

He will soon take the next step toward his goal of becoming a Catholic priest, entering St. Patrick's Seminary and University in the fall.
