The Well FAQ

All current regularly enrolled Chico State students have access to The Well and its programs. Chico State Faculty and Staff are not eligible to use The Well.

The Well is open Monday through Friday 8:00am-5:00pm.

The Well is located in the basement of the Bell Memorial Union. Please take the elevator or the stairs directly next to the elevator to access The Well.

The Well includes about 8500 square feet of indoor space including quiet spaces, a massage den, nap pod space, lactation lounge, prayer and reflection space, meditation and mindfulness space, sensory space, a dedicated Wellcat Counselor, creative space, and programming space.

All-gender restrooms are located just outside of The Well’s main entrance.

You are welcome to drop by The Well anytime, however, we recommend reservations be made in advance for the nap pods, massage chairs, hydromassage, and massage therapist to ensure you a spot. Appointments for free services can be made online through The Wells website: https://as.csuchico.edu/wellness, simply click RESERVE HERE on the center of the page. You can also schedule appointments via the CSU, Chico-WREC app.

All students, staff, and faculty can use the Lactation Space in The Well.

The Well is a space dedicated to self-care and taking time to reset and refresh. There are locations on the second floor of the Bell Memorial Union and throughout campus dedicated to studying.

The Well is dedicated to wellness-related events that support all students. At this time, we do not offer privately hosted events.

Food is not allowed in The Well. Beverages are allowed if in sealed containers.

Cell phone use is discouraged in The Well. We hope you will use your time in The Well to disconnect and utilize the services offered.
