Parent Information
The CAVE tutoring program provides a supportive and engaging learning environment for students in grades K-10. Through small-group tutoring, hands-on learning strategies, and personalized guidance, our program aims to help your child build academic skills, confidence and, instill a lifelong love for learning. Tutoring sessions will take place in small groups with opportunities for individual support. The program runs for 10-weeks and participating children must be able to commit to attending all sessions (unless illness or emergency). Children 12 and under must always be accompanied by a parent or guardian to sign them in and must be picked up by a parent or guardian to be signed out.

Days/Times:
Every Tuesday and Thursday beginning February 17 - April 30 (10-week program, excluding Spring Break March 16-20 and Cesar Chavez Day on Tuesday, March 31)
Required Parent Orientation:
On Tuesday, February 17 from 5:30-6:30pm, parents or guardians must accompany their child to their first tutoring session and participate in parent orientation.
Application Process:
Due to the high demand for tutoring services and our limited number of volunteers, an application must be submitted. Applications will be reviewed based on the order in which they are received and children will be admitted to the program based on our ability to pair your child’s tutoring needs with tutor-expertise.
To be added to our email distribution list that will notify recipients about application launch, please email CAVEtutorial@csuchico.edu and include the following information:
- Parent Name, Email, Phone Number
- Child Name and Age
*Sending this information is not your application for participation but will add you to the distribution list to receive information about the application process.
