K-12 Tutoring

The Family Application for Fall 2024 will open on August 12th and will close on September 2nd.

Parent Information

The CAVE tutoring program is designed to provide a supportive and engaging learning environment for students in grades K-12. Through interactive activities, personalized guidance, and a fun-filled approach, we aim to instill a lifelong love for learning in your child. Tutoring sessions will take place in small groups with 30-minute opportunities for individual support. The program runs for 10-weeks and participating children must be able to commit to attending all sessions (unless illness or emergency). Children 12 and under must always be accompanied by a parent or guardian to sign them in and must be picked up by a parent or guardian to be signed out.

Every Tuesday and Thursday from 5:00-6:30pm beginning September 24 to December 5 (10-week program, excluding Thanksgiving break)

Required Parent Orientation:
On September 24 from 5:00-6:30pm, parents or guardians must accompany their child to their first tutoring session and participate in parent orientation.

Application Process:
Due to the high demand for tutoring services and our limited number of volunteers, an application must be submitted. Applications will be reviewed based on the order in which they are received and children will be admitted to the program based on our ability to pair your child’s tutoring needs with tutor-expertise.

The application for Fall 2024 participation will open on August 12 at 8 am. and and will close on September 2 at midnight.
To be added to our email distribution list that will release the application for future semesters, please email CAVEtutorial@csuchico.edu and include the following information:

  • Parent Name, Email, Phone Number
  • Child Name and Age

*Sending this information is not your application for participation but will add you the distribution list to receive information about the application process.
