Program Description

In this program, volunteers are given the opportunity to assist a teacher in a K-12 classroom setting. Volunteers spend their time learning classroom management skills and techniques, helping with lessons, working with small groups and/or providing one-on-one assistance in the classroom. This is a great program if you are interested in working with children and/or pursuing a career or major in the childcare field.

  • Rosedale: 100 Oak Street (0.3 miles from campus) *Spanish required
  • Citrus: 1350 Citrus Ave (0.7 miles from campus)
  • Emma Wilson: 1530 West 8th Ave (0.9 miles from campus)
  • John McManus: 988 East Ave (2.9 miles from campus)
  • Sierra View: 1598 Hooker Oak (3.0 miles from campus)

Days/Times:

Volunteers will be matched with a teacher for 3-hours per week based on student schedule and teacher needs. School preferences and transportation will be factored into the pairing process.
