Program Description
The Hungry Wildcat Food Pantry supports Chico State students experiencing food insecurity, hunger, and financial hardship. With nearly 50% of students reporting food insecurity and demand rising each year, the Pantry ensures students have dependable access to nutritious food, hygiene supplies, and essential items so they can stay enrolled and succeed academically.
Volunteers play a vital behind-the-scenes role in sustaining this service by helping prepare the Pantry for daily operations. This work ensures shelves are stocked, food is sorted safely, and students can access what they need efficiently and with dignity.
Pantry Volunteers will help support the Basic Needs Department by assisting with cleaning, stocking, inventory support, and other operational projects as needed. Help support this critical service and serve your campus community!
