Meet All Thai'd Up! Pakawan Thongtang is the Co-Owner. Learn more about the business and their delicious dishes below.

What made you want to start a food truck business?

I grew up in Thailand where my mom cooked everything in our home. I was able to pickup cooking at a young age by watching her and eventually adopted it as a passion of my own. I often get homesick, and cooking my mom’s recipes helps me feel connected to her.

We wanted to bring those same feelings to Chico States campus. By offering authentic, home cooked Thai food while adding more diversity to the food scene on campus. Our goal is to provide students, faculty, and staff with meals that are affordable, healthy, delicious, and made fresh to order.

What are ways Chico State students can help other local businesses like yours?

Students can help support local and ethnic small businesses by trying foods outside of their usual choices. Exploring different cuisines helps support diverse cultures and strengthens our local community here on and off campus. They would be surprised to find they enjoy a lot of the foods they’re unfamiliar with :)

What is one of your best-selling items, and what makes you different from other food trucks?

One of our best-selling items is definitely our Thai’d Up Wrap (which is a twist on the Thai Pad Kra Pao, a traditional chicken Thai basil stir fry that wraps up beautifully into a tortilla). It’s a fusion item that highlights Thai flavors and is perfect especially when you’re in a hurry.

Another standout is our Thai’d Up Wings, which combine classic fried chicken with Thai cuisine dry rub seasonings, something not commonly seen in the United States but is so amazing you have to try it.

What makes us stand out is how we try to blend cultures in a way that feels natural and not forced, creating delicious pairings without compromising on authenticity.

What is an underrated item on your menu that more students should try?

Our Shrimp Jalapeño Egg Rolls are definitely underrated. They’re a twist on the traditional egg roll, and is served with our house-made sweet and sour sauce. It’s a pairing we’re willing to bet could take the title of your favorite food item on our menu

What is the best aspect of having your food truck on campus?

Being on campus allows us to stay connected and touch base with the community that has supported us for the past three years. It gives us the opportunity to give back by offering students a delicious and affordable meal option.

What gluten-free, vegetarian, or vegan options do you offer?

Our Pad Thai is gluten-free and one of our best-selling items. We also offer vegetarian options, including tofu, and customizable spice levels.

We do not use any tree nuts or peanuts in our cooking.

For any additional dietary accommodations, customers are highly encouraged to speak with our staff.

All Thai'd Up can be found on campus Monday-Friday 10:30am - 5:00pm in front of Holt Hall.
