Colin Chambers has been part of the Associated Students team since 2018. After graduating from UC Santa Cruz with a B.A. in Environmental Studies, Colin worked at Shady Creek Outdoor School teaching science, conservation, and team building to elementary students. In 2016 Colin moved to Chico and began working in a variety of recreation and education settings before joining the Associated Students. Colin is passionate about bringing a variety of recreation opportunities to students and hopes to connect them with new, and lifelong, passion for play. Colin practices what he preaches, competing in Ultimate Frisbee and Disc Golf, as well as coaching the Chico State Men’s Ultimate Team.

I’m an “old-school” graphic designer and a fellow Chico State Alum. I’ve spent over 20 years working as a designer in the private sector for both large and small design firms as well as a co-owner of a local branding agency. Great design starts with proper research, getting a firm understanding of the clients needs within the requested timeframe. I’m a visual designer rooted in ideation and advanced problem-solving. Years of both creative design directions along with a firm understanding of production and the printing process provides me with the tools for success. When I’m not working as a professional designer you can find me around water enjoying the outdoors. This includes SCUBA & snorkeling, river rafting, snow and water skiing and other outdoor activities. I also consider myself a novice photographer with a keen eye for details (lighting, composition, rule-of-thirds, etc) finding the perfect balance of vision and message.
