At Chico State, student representatives are elected each academic year to serve and advocate on behalf of the student body with AS Government Affairs. This year, all voting will be conducted online beginning at 8 a.m. April 6th and will conclude at 8 a.m. on April 7th.

On election day, all regularly enrolled students will receive an email at 8 AM with a direct link to the ballot. For more information about the election and the candidates running, please visit bit.ly/AS-Elections.


Events

If you are looking for ways to get involved during elections season this year, mark the following events on your calendar.

  • “Exercise Your Right to Vote” is happening, April 4-6th at the WREC. For more information, head here.
  • “Quiz the Candidates” is happening Tuesday, April 5th, from 5 to 7 p.m. in BMU 203. Join us as we ask each candidate important questions shared by students on different campus issues and where they stand. There will also be free food and a chance to win some awesome prizes!   • “AS Elections Jamboree” is taking place on Elections Day, Wednesday, April 6th from 12 to 3 p.m. on the Trinity Commons. There will be fun activities, inflatables, and free food! You can even enter to win some awesome prizes and most importantly exercise your right to vote! Come meet the candidates and get to know some of the programs on your campus. While you walk through the event we will also have a live DJ performing and all-around excitement as we encourage students to log on to the AS website and vote for who YOU want representing your needs during the upcoming year. Revenue Sharing

During AS Elections, use your vote to elect YOUR next student representatives and participate in revenue sharing, our program that allows voters to allocate $15 of their Activity Fee to up to three recognized student organizations of their choosing! $15 to one, $7.50 to two, or $5 to three!
