I want to express deep disappointment and sorrow over the passing of the CSU Multiyear tuition proposal, which will increase tuition 6% every year for at least the next 5 years. The resulting 33% increase by the end of 2028 will create everlasting consequences and distrust in the CSU system. After going down to the Board of Trustees Meeting in Long Beach, and giving public comment with CSSA, I witnessed almost 3 hours of students, faculty, and community members passionate disproval and concerns. Going forward, I will continue to advocate for enhanced student resources, heightened accountability for CSU decision-makers, and amplified transparency on matters affecting our education quality. Continue to collaborate with your elected student representatives and we will work to empower our most vulnerable populations.
