Whereas, Education Code § 89921 states that each governing board and subboard shall annually establish, by resolution, bylaws, or whatever other rule is required for the conduct of business by that body, the time and location for holding regular meetings; and
Resolved, For the spring semester of academic year 2023-24, the Associated Students Board of Directors meetings will be facilitated both in-person and via an online Zoom format. In-person meetings will be held in Bell Memorial Union 205 at 8:30 a.m. on the following dates:
- January 31, 2024
- February 14 and 28, 2024
- March 13 and 27, 2024
- April 10, 17, 24
- May 1 and 8, 2024
Resolved, The Associated Students Board of Directors will pass a similar resolution for each academic year by the first regularly scheduled meeting of the fall semester.
The Board of Directors (BOD) is the conclusive decision-making body for the overall operations of the Associated Students organization and represents the wide-ranging network of student participation in campus shared governance. Chaired by the AS President, the voting membership is comprised of six elected student representatives, the University VPs of Student Affairs and Business and Finance, and a faculty representative. The Board is directly responsible for upholding or approving actions of its network of committees and the comprehensive corporate affairs of the organization.
