This FAQ is intended to provide important information about the Associated Students’ facilities, programs, services, and business enterprises in response to COVID-19.
Due to the highly dynamic and rapidly evolving circumstances, these answers are subject to change without notice. This site will be updated on an ongoing basis. The WellCat Health Center has launched a COVID-19 hotline—530-898-2222—to answer faculty, staff, and student questions about a variety of COVID-19-related topics.

Facilities:Will the Bell Memorial Union be open during the spring semester?
At this time, the Bell Memorial Union will remain closed to the general public until further notice. Please check out our AS Calendar for full access to all our virtual offerings this fall.
The Chico State Wildcat Bookstore is currently open Monday through Thursday, 9 AM to 4 PM, effective Tuesday, September 8th, 2020. You can access the bookstore through the trinity Commons entrance (by the BMU ATMs).
Will the Wildcat Recreation Center be open during the spring semester?
YES! Sorta...
The Wildcat Recreation Center (WREC) is back at it again! Starting Monday, January 25th, the Associated Students will open “WREC 2.0,” a fully equipped, outdoor exercise complex located in the parking structure across from the WREC facility (at 2nd and Cherry Streets).
Hours of operation will be Monday through Friday, 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.
The WREC Pool also continues to be open Monday through Friday, 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. by reservation only.

Will AS Dining Services dining and retail locations be open during the spring semester?
At this time, all AS Dining Services retail and dining locations are closed until further notice. Students currently living in University Housing are able to order food for delivery using the GET app.
Will the AS Child Development Lab be open during the spring semester?
The AS Child Development Lab is open with limited operations. Please contact ascdl@csuchico.edu for more information.
Employment:Will student employees be able to return to work during the spring semester?
With limited operations continuing this spring, there will be a limited number of student jobs available. Associated Students is committed to reactivating student employees who have been laid off work as a result of the impact of COVID-19 on our operations and businesses. Please check our job postings often for available positions.
Laid off student employees can still apply for unemployment benefits through the State of California Employment Development Department. More information can be found in the FAQs for Student Employees.
How should student employees collect their pay while the BMU is closed?
For students working in essential roles, please connect with your supervisor to make sure you are signed up for direct deposit or have a valid mailing address on file. For information regarding student employment, please see the AS Human Resources FAQs for Student Employees.
Programs:Where can I find AS virtual programming?
Will Adventure Outings be offering trips in the spring?
Following the advice of local and state public health experts regarding COVID-19 and travel, all Adventure Outings trips through the end of the 2020-2021 academic year have been canceled.
The Adventure Outings equipment room is, however, open for gear pick-up by reservation only. Pick-up will occur on Fridays from 11 a.m.-4 p.m., and gear return on Mondays from 11 a.m.-4 p.m. Currently, we are only allowing weekend rentals.

Will the Bike Cart be servicing bicycles on campus during the fall semester?
At this time, the Bike Cart has suspended operations on campus until further notice.
Can my student organization still request reimbursements using revenue sharing funds?
Yes! Student organizations are still able to request revenue sharing funds from the AS Government Affairs Office via email. Please email Sarah Fenton at sfenton@csuchico.edu for any questions or requests. All requests must be submitted with receipts.
Are any Associated Student program offices reopening this spring?
Due to the closures of our facilities, AS program offices remain open and operational ONLINE only. Please check out our AS Calendar for programs and services for students while face-to-face instruction is suspended.
Can I still volunteer with CAVE in the spring?
Yes! CAVE will be offerings both in-person and virtual volunteer opportunities this fall. Check out this list for the most up-to-date programs available to students this fall.
If you are interested in giving back to your community during the Spring semester? Complete CAVE’s spring application! Applications are due by Friday, February 12th at 5 p.m.
Will KCSC Radio resume operations in the spring?
KCSC Radio is temporarily suspending their operations until further notice.
