AS General Election 2020 – April 1, 2020!
The AS General Election is held annually each spring. Student representatives are elected to serve and advocate for the student body at Chico State. All voting will be conducted online beginning 8 AM April 1 and will conclude at 8 AM on April 2. All regularly enrolled students will receive an email at 8 AM with a direct link to the ballot the day the election goes live. There are 17 elected position available. Associated Students Government Affairs is the official voice for the students at Chico State. It is comprised of 17 student elected officer and senator positions who represent and advocate on behalf of the student body. The positions sit on several AS and campus-run councils and committees that provide support to University administration and ensure student dollars are being used in ways that directly benefit the students.
All AS officers serve as the chair of an Associated Students council or committee. Select positions, including the AS President, Executive Vice President, both vice president positions and both director positions, also sit on the AS Board of Directors.

Within AS Government Affairs, the senators act as representatives of all students served by their perspective colleges. Each senator is a voting member of the Student Academic Senate and coordinate with academic/department student organizations for the general purpose of creating a true link between the AS and colleges.
