Risk Management evaluates each submitted event for general risk, insurance, and liability concerns and then sends the event organizer an approval. Approval may be conditional upon certain things happening before the event. Very rarely, Risk Management may deny an event if the level of risk is not acceptable and cannot be effectively mitigated.
Please submit your events AT LEAST 1 month before the event. Programmers should submit large or complex events as early as possible.
Events that pose no elevated level of risk (examples: simple tabling, an indoor workshop) do not need to be reviewed. However, when in doubt, feel free to submit.
